I think it's really good as is but there are a couple of things I could suggest to make it even better if you don't mind my saying so. One thing is enhancing the sense of motion to make a more dynamic looking piece. I see you added a few motion lines but you could try adding more to the tail or even adding afterimages of the tail and/or a blur effect to really enhance the sense that she's wagging her tail in pleasure at being patted
The hand could also use more suggestions of motion. As it stands, from the character's pleased expression it's pretty obvious she's being patted or having her head stroked but if you think about it from a purely technical viewpoint without making assumptions it'd be fair to say that the way it's drawn the unseen character could just as easily be grabbing her hair or head. Some simple motion lines around the forearm and hand would be an easy addition that would enhance the sense of what action is being performed. You could also make the girl's hair more tousled like what would happen after somebody's rubbed her hair.
If you have access to Photoshop you can make another simple enhancement by using some simple filters to modify the photo background if you want a more cartoony look. The cutout or fresco filters can work well here to quickly give a photo a more painted look.
Again, like I said it's already a good piece. These aren't criticisms, just suggestions that might make it even better
